Games in English Language Teaching at Primary School

The diploma thesis deals with the importance of the didactic play in teaching and its use in English language lessons. The theoretical part defines the didactic games, characterize its meaning from the point of view of pedagogig and psychologig. It acquaints with the developmental stages of pupils in their first level of primary school and also provides a basic segmentation of games according to various aspects of involvement in teaching. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of five lessons in different classes. It deals with questions related to the objectives of teaching, practical use of games and then it defines a basic overview of the most used games in teaching¨. The end of the work offers a general overview of the information obtained in both , theoretical and practical parts, and also presents my own reflections.
Understanding of Problem of Dyslexy Through Drama

The diploma thesis consists of practical and theoretical part. It is focused on an issue of dyslexia and its understanding through structured drama. The theoretical part contains three sections. The first section deals with drama education, the second section covers structured drama and the third section is focused on dyslexia itself. The part concerning drama education is subdivided into three chapters demonstrating drama education in general, the subject itself and its forms. The part focused on structured drama is divided into five chapters that define structured drama in general and its subsequent implementation in education together with its structures, techniques and planning. The part dealing with dyslexia includes five chapters as well. The first chapter explains the term dyslexia. The next chapters demonstrate its symptoms, diagnosis and re- education, specific learning disabilities and relationships between dyslectic pupils and their family, school and classmates. The practical part contains a lesson of structured drama with reflections and perceptions collected during drama implementation.
Opinions of pupils from primary school on inclusion of sports games in physical education classes with a focus on basketball

The thesis is about the opinions of pupils from primary school on the inclusion of sports games in physical education classes with a focus on basketball. The thesis's target group are students from second and fifth grade, their teachers, and kids from sport summer camp. The goal is to find out about student's favorite sports games at secondary grammar school and see if basketball fits their preferences. Furthermore, through quality scaling see at what level are basketball skills such as dribbling and shooting. The theoretical part concludes didactic aspects in PE, sports games, and basketball itself. For the research purposes, the questionnaire was created specifically for students and teachers. For quality measurements of dribbling and shooting a chart was created to find out the right technique. The outcome of data was used as a method of a quantity which was then further shown on the graphs. The type of graphs was either showcased as pie charts and bar charts. For quality, measurements were used as a detailed statistic of more precise measurements on the chart and the arithmetic mean. Development of readership through poetry in primary school

The goal of this Master's thesis was to support the development of the practice of reading and literacy especially of students of the lower primary school by my own and verified methods. I have observed the development of the children's relationship to reading and their reading skill as long as there was focus on reading and further activity with poems in class in lower primary school. I have also observed the extent, to which is reading of poems and activities related to it supported by reading books, how students work with the text and what they learn by this work. My thesis has among other activities focused on the necessity and contribution of children's recital a dramatization of poetry. I have worked with children from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5thgrades of elementary school and also from the 1st grade of 8-year high school, within the scope of literature class, a so-called reading class, within the scope of literary - dramatical branch of art elementary school and drama in education. On the basis of this thesis I can state that working with poetry has significance for a discovery or an establishment of a relationship to reading and understanding of a text for students of the afore mentioned classes.
